A tribute to growing up on the banks of the Darling River. Tony is a fifth generation Wentworth local growing up just above the junction of the Murray and Darling.

About the Composer
Tony Smith was born and raised at Balcatherine Station, just outside Wentworth, NSW. He began writing poetry while at school and soon started adding music to it. During the 2021 Tamworth Country Music Festival he won The Most Promising Future Star at the People’s Choice Awards and Bluegrass Song of the Year at the TSA Songwriter Salute Awards. That same year he released his album ‘Stir the Embers.’
