When I was 13, I was fortunate enough to attend Stringmania the same year the extraordinary Adam Sutherland from Scotland was one of the tutors. Me and my friends decided to make Adam concoctions from the kitchen to drink – all based on the staple ingredient Cottee’s green cordial. Since Adam was so generous (and brave) to humour us, I felt like I owed him a tune.
